It has been a suuuuuper slow month for blogging and even Facebook and Instagram for me. Sorry to any faithful followers I may have. Can you say "summer break!!!"? I suddenly have all 4 of us home all day every day (my hubby's a teacher).
And I'm 8.5 weeks pregnant. :) With full-blown, all-day-every-day nausea. :(
So while I'm doing lots of reading (as I describe below), my online presence is lacking. But I'm at 27/36 books for my yearly goal! I hope you're enjoying your summer!
I'm participating in #harrypotterthon16 with some others from the YA Book Club. We thought it would be fun to read all 7 books in the roughly 7 weeks prior to the release of the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child script. It's my first-ever re-read, and I'm enjoying it SO much!! I can't believe how many things I've forgotten, yet I remember enough big events that other things make sense when they didn't before.
And while I debated sticking with one-book-a-week and sprinkling other books throughout, I decided to just run with it and read all of them back to back to back. I'll probably have quite the hangover in a week once I've finished the whole series. :-P
I made it through the first 5 books in the last 4 weeks. That's 2690 pages. Luckily I'm reading them all on my Kindle, so my hands haven't been getting cramped up.
Linking up with Anne Bogel's July Quick Lit on the 15th!

Congratulations on your pregnancy! So fun that you're taking part in the harrypotterthon. I haven't yet read them (I know, I'm the worst) but look forward to reading them with my kids when they're old enough :)
ReplyDeleteI read the first 5 books 10 years ago as part of an English course but never finished them so I want to restart the whole series and watch the movies soon too!
