The Official Blogging-Break Post

Welcome to 2017!

This post is to let you all know that I am officially taking a break from blogging for awhile. Baby Girl #3 is scheduled to arrive around February 5 (update: Penelope Ann (Penny) arrived on February 13!). I've been slowing down my Usborne business, so I won't be doing any parties or vendor booths until probably summer or fall.

In the meantime, you can still find me here:

SHOP Usborne Books & More -- My online store will remain open, so you can still shop anytime if you need gifts or homework helpers. New titles were just released this week, and will also be released in April and June, so be sure to browse around! Just choose one of the "NO EVENT? SHOP HERE!" events from the drop-down menu at checkout.

FACEBOOK -- I'll continue to post fun book-ish things on my blog's page, including quizzes, memes, Usborne specials, and news about my family.

INSTAGRAM -- Some things book-related, some things family-related. For sure lots and lots of baby pictures. :)

GOODREADS -- While I won't be doing monthly reading recaps here on the blog (see the archives here), I do still keep track of all the books I read.

Quick Lit: November 2016

I think I'm winding down for the year... Since I met my reading goal for 2016 a few months ago, I don't feel the push to blow through easy reads just for the sake of finishing as many as I can. So I've been taking my time, doing other things instead of reading during down time, and for the month of December decided to re-read something that will easily take the entire month (and likely beyond)!

Quick Lit: October 2016

After being stuck in a rut and reading only 2 books in September, I blasted through a couple of YA series in October to finish 7 books this month!

31(ish) Days Wrap-up

So... I failed this year. It was the first time in the three years I've done this that I didn't finish the month. I came close though! 25 of 31 isn't too bad!

I have a pretty good excuse. I had been writing posts ahead, going to the library once a week and drafting up a big chunk at a time. But one week toward the end of the month when I went to the library, all of the new kids books on the shelf were ones I'd already written about! So I guess I could blame the library for my lack of finishing. ;-)

I do think this annual writing challenge is good for me, and am planning to do it again next year. In the meantime, back I go to my usual posting once or twice a week! Keep up with me more frequently on my Facebook page and Instagram feed.
